This painterly vase has soft, feathered white and blue with hints of yellow, and with red wrapped around the lip, in a soft classic shape. A utilitarian form that stands as a work of art on its own.
Artist: Steve Claypatch
Steve found his second act in glassblowing after leaving a career as a master electrician in 2005. He had never been to a gallery, art show, or museum before. The epiphany of the level of satisfaction found in the act of creating changed his life. Since then, he has strived to be a professional glassblower- creating and selling work for many art shows and galleries.
His desire is to create a beautiful art object you can use daily. They are made to serve a utilitarian purpose and remind them of how important it is to give unconditionally and receive with grace.
