October is all about glass pumpkins, art crawls and of course....Halloween!
This month we have a ton of really fun and exciting events! We kick off the 1st of October with our first annual Pumpkin Patch Production Party around noon and we'll go until every square inch or annealer space is chalk full of lovely pumpkins! Anyone is welcome to come watch as the Vandalia team cranks em out, and we'll try to give everyone who wants to help a job to do! Snacks and drinks will be provided by Vandalia.
Our Glass Pumpkin Patch will be open to the public Starting Monday October 3rd during normal gallery hours. And here's a secret...there will be a number of FREE pumpkins hidden in the pumpkin patch!! All of the pumpkins will appear as though they are priced normally, but some of you lucky winners will be in for a treat when you go up to the check out and they ring up for $0.00! Bring the whole family, and happy pumpkin picking!
The second weekend, October 8th and 9th, is the Fall Glass Studio Tour featuring glass artists Rachel Masica and Nicole Fierce, along with more than twenty other various glass artists selling their wares and giving glassblowing demonstrations all weekend long. This event is a free, open to the public and family friendly, so bring the whole gang!
The Following weekend, October 14th-16th, is the St. Paul Art Crawl with featured artists are Rachel Masica, Nicole Fierce, and Bruce Nelson and friends. There are a ton of other really cool artists and vendors in the building that will have their doors open during the art crawl, along with Lake Monster Brewery right outside our door. This is also a free, family friendly event with glassblowing demonstrations all weekend long.
